In an alarmingly close call, Ryan Lemond, co-host of Kentucky Sports Radio (KSR), experienced the life-saving impact of his Silent Guard security system when a fire broke out in his home. On the morning of the incident, Ryan had left for a work trip in Boston, while his son left to pick up his mom from the airport. During that brief window, a fire started in his son's bedroom, likely caused by a mini fridge.

Even though the security system wasn’t activated at the time, the smoke detector in his son’s room immediately signaled the local fire department. By the time Ryan’s family returned home, firefighters were already on-site and detected the growing fire. They discovered the flames climbing up the walls and overtaking the bedroom, just minutes from consuming the entire house.
